We Care was founded in Brandon, Manitoba in 1984. Since then, it has grown into
Canada’s largest independently owned homecare service provider. The company operates
as a strong network of committed operators, all supported by a dedicated Home Office
team.
John Schram is the company’s President and CEO. He joined the Board of Directors
in March 1996 and assumed his current role in 1999. His ongoing commitment to home
health care is evident in his involvement with industry leaders. He sits
on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Home Care Association, Ontario Home Care
Association and Accreditation Canada, where he chairs the Finance and Audit Committee.
These positions allow him to keep abreast of developments in homecare, and enable
him to advocate with policy makers on behalf of our clients.
His commitment to the company and its staff, and more particularly to the well-being
of its clients, is demonstrated by the passion he brings to the office every day.
John maintains close ties to the business, regularly meeting with clients to discuss
their needs and address their concerns and sharing his love of homecare with everyone
he meets.
We Care’s 50 locations employ 5,000 homecare staff and provide care to over 15,000
clients in 800 communities across Canada.
