Long-term Care Solutions
As seniors, when we need more care in our later years, we are faced with some important decisions. These may include whether we can find care and stay in our homes, or whether we should move in with family members, or whether we have to look at a seniors’ residence or long term care facility.
At We Care, we appreciate the significance of these decisions and we understand they are never easy. We also appreciate, however, that we are most happy and healthy when we can stay in our own homes.
For this reason, We Care has re-structured its care services and has developed a new Long-term Care Solutions program, to provide live-in home care on a 12 hour or 24 hour basis.
This service is being offered at much more affordable cost levels than we have been able to offer in the past. Plus:
- Complementary initial assessment by our Nurse Care Manager.
- On-going supervision of caregivers by We Care’s Nurse Care Manager.
- Qualified caregivers with complete insurance coverage.
- 24/7 on-call personal service from a We Care coordinator.
For more information, call our client service people in anyone of our offices. We welcome the opportunity to find the right long-term care solution for our clients.
Palliative Care Services
WeCare offers specialised services for oncology and palliative care patients, support those confronted with cancer by going through those difficult times along with them.
In collaboration with teams of oncology and palliative care specialists, from the hospitals and the CLSC's, WeCare nurses, nurses assistants, PAB's and companions can offer additional services which are not always given by public health establishments and specialised organisations of our community. Our care manager, who is a registered nurse, will develop a service plan with the family and ensure its implementation, with emphasis on the consistency of our insured and bonded medical staff.
Whether for 3 hours, 8 hours or 24 hours, 7 days a week, either on a regular or an occasional basis, WeCare experienced professionals bring a physical and moral support and can also lighten the workload around the home of the family caregiver.
Respite Services
In order to better the quality of life of the caregivers, WeCare offers a respite service. It can be defined as a break, providing the opportunity for caregivers to pursue interests and activities that would otherwise be impossible due to the demands of care-giving. It allows them to run errands, go to their own appointments or simply spend time with friends and family, resting and relaxing.
At WeCare, we are dedicated to the well-being of individuals. It is well known that even a little break can go a long way to improving their quality of life so please, do not hesitate to call us if you have any questions.
